From the masterpiece to the wreck: my 2 cents about Chameleon by Herbie Hancock

That's something I will never understand. How is it possible that the same man that came out with a terrific song like that, can propose a shitty version some years later? I'm not talking about getting old, this is such a normal thing for all of us.
But the taste, the feeling, the power, the technique, the sound, the sensuality, in one word the "aesthetics" of a masterpiece, can easily become a piece of junk, even if played from the composer himself. Kind of Black Magic.
